NPR is investigating Vioxx and Merck
October 4, 2004
Merck announced September 20, 2004, a worldwide withdrawal of its anti-inflammatory drug, Vioxx. A study showed that people taking Vioxx are twice as likely to have heart attacks and strokes as people who take other anti-inflammatory drugs.
The Vioxx recall occurred after mounting concerns beginning in early 2001 that Vioxx might cause serious cardiovascular events.
Nix, Patterson & Roach is accepting Vioxx cases. Please contact us concerning any cases you may have or to request that we evaluate your case. If you or someone you know has suffered a heart attack, stroke or other severe cardiac injury while taking Vioxx, you should contact us immediately.
